1904 - Our history dates back to the beginning of the 20th century when a formal school was first established offering religious education to the boys and girls of the community.

1933 - The school steadily progressed until in 1933, it received formal recognition from the Ministry of Education as an academic institution offering primary and religious education. By the end of the year, the school had grown with new classrooms and separate sections for boys and girls. Fondly remembered by his surname, Master Laving served as the dedicated teacher and principal for several years.
The premises were also used as a Madrassah in the evenings, known as the Husseini Night School, where as well as religious education, Urdu and Persian were also offered.

1945 – A major fundraising initiative was headed by the Late Haji Abdulla Kanji to set up a fully fledged Primary School and Education Trust. With a large contribution from the late Haji Nazerali Panju, in memory of Late Alibhai Panju, the Alibhai Panju Khoja Shia Ithna Asheri School Benefit Trust was established.
